Snowshoeing at The Callaghan allows you to explore this natural playground on self-guided tours through the Callaghan Valley on single-track trails that are packed daily. Whether you’re just taking a loop around the base with your family or venturing into old growth forests on a self-guided day trip, there’s truly something for everyone.
The short “Treasure Trail” is perfect for families looking to get a taste of the snowshoe experience with “little” snowshoers. This trail has the same feel as our other routes but stays relatively close to the base for easy access.
Alexander Falls is accessed via two different trails. The first, “Alexander Falls Explorer,” is our classic nature trail that winds through coastal hemlock forests and picturesque sub-alpine wilderness. The second, “Alexander Falls Express,” is the most direct, but also the most difficult, considered challenging even for experienced snowshoers, Note: it closes in icy conditions.
Explorer: 2.5km | Express: 0.5km
